We finally got an opportunity to sit down with Mr. L and ask him some questions about band. Check it out!
We had a very productive short week in Video Productions class. 7th & 8th graders finished shooting their video. Here's one group's final scene. We're all excited to start editing!
6th graders are continuing to work diligently on their iMovie photostories. I anticipate all groups being done by next week. They are taking their time and producing quality work! Hope you all have a great break! See you on Monday.
It's an exciting week at NMS. 7th and 8th grade students have finished storyboarding and are beginning to shoot their first videos with our brand new cameras! They look so professional using our new equipment, including the boom mic. I can't wait to see their footage!
My new 6th graders are working hard to produce a photostory in iMovie. First, they downloaded pictures from Flickr Creative Commons, now they are importing their pictures into iMovie and are editting them together to tell a story. They will also create original music in Garageband. While students are working on their projects, I am training students on the new cameras. I am super impressed with my new 6th graders! 25 out of 27 students have already returned their equipment usage agreement forms and they are coming up with really compelling stories for their project.
I tell people all the time I have the best gig in the world! I get to work with the most amazingly creative 6th, 7th and 8th graders at Netzaberg Middle School. This year we're looking forward to producing epic pieces of digital media in Video Production and conquering the world with our Lego Mindstorms in Programming!
